Karachi Stock Exchange: A Safe Haven ?

` The world's most dangerous place.' This way Pakistan was defined by The Economist on January 3rd. The country was given this title among other things because of the assassination of ex-premier Bhutto and the riots which followed. Some weeks later The Economist again dedicated an article to Pakistan, this time titled: `The world's most dangerous haven'. Those who dare to gamble on the stock markets might want to try their luck in Pakistan right now. The Pakistani Stock Market ( Karachi Stock Exchange) is pointed out as the best performing index in Asia this year. Somehow political turmoil does not necessarily prevent a market from performing very well. The economy of Pakistan is expected to grow around 6.5-7% over the year 2008.

I am not sure how I found this blog but somehow I landed here and after reading this post I decided to post a comment.

We have invested in Karachi Stock Exchange and are also in the prccess of investing more with partners now and it's been nothing but great so far. The political termoil as we know it is artificial and there are many reasons behind it and I wouldn't want to go in details (but I can safely say that our American government is also involved in the current political crisis). The fact is that we have had a great response and we will continue to invest more. If you are interested then you should try investing a bit too and once you have gained some confidence, invest more. The results are great!!
